Description

The Constellation Platform provides member notifications that are initiated manually or automatically, by the credit union or service providers, and are sent to the Member.

There are two types of Notifications: Alerts and Messages.

An Alert is a notification, sent to a member, which does not require member interaction. An alert can be sent and dismissed at the sender’s discretion, without any interaction from the member. For example, you might want to inform a member that they qualify for a specific type of loan, but you only want that information to be presented for a certain window of time.

Alerts are short, succinct bits of information. They have character limits in their subject lines and characters in their bodies. Longer Notifications should be sent as Messages. Alerts are currently non-transactional, account-based Notifications. Alerts can be sent from the to specific tiles, and from tiles to the member’s home screen. As with all events on the platform, Alerts are logged, and anything logged on the platform can be reported.
